Aviator Stories

When I was in 5th grade I read "God is My Co-Pilot". From then on brave, fearless aviators of all nationalities became my heroes. I was absorbed with the amazing stories of such gallantry that was unimaginable to me. I threw away my sports heroes like Mickey Mantle and Joe Namath. The great aviators became my role models.

Hans-Joachim Marseille, Adolf Galland, Eric Hartman, Gabby Gabreski. Saburo Sakai, Joe Foss and Pappy Boynton. The stories are incredible.

When I was young I never though that I would ever meet Tex Hill or Dick Rossi. Much less work with them in telling their stories and illustrating their aircraft for historical proposes.

Yet I have. Below are the stories of the interviews I have had with some of our great aviators.

Thank you for visiting our web store and military library.

Please tell your friends about my efforts.

Disclaimer of my writings.

Many of these writings are rough drafts. Some are finished, kind-of. Many of these stories will be in my up-coming books.

I am working and re-working them. Enjoy and watch this site grow and mature to finance my retirement, I hope.

Besides, I will never put a complete story here because I want the consumer to enjoy the full stories as they read my books.

Von Hippel                         German Albatross Pilot

Do you know an aviator?.....

that would be perfect in one of my aviation series?

Many of the best aviators in my aviation art series were from people who have been following my artwork and interviews.

They knew an aviator, or met someone they though would fit in my series.

Most of all they wanted to be part of what I am working on.

I enjoy referrals and introductions to these pilots.

You never know who lives next door or down the street.

The old German guy next door could have flown Stuka's!

Many of the introductions I received in 2007, 2008 and in 2009 are incredible.

I hope to publish a print or at least an interview of everyone of them.

Help me tell their stories. Every story is special.

Not all stories are about combat adventures. They include training, test flying, etc.

Call or e-mail us if you are the pilot or you know the pilot, or gunner, or navigator.

Contact us at the bottom of the page please!

I am sorry, did I mention Astronauts?

Blue Angels?

Thunderbirds?
