Messerschmitt Bf-109E

By Sir Ernie Hamilton Boyette

Below is profile art from other great artist. If you have any cool profiles of the Bf-109, E-Mail it to me and let me know who the artist is. If you have drawn or painted a Messerschmitt, E-Mail it to me as well and I will post your artwork and put your name right under it.

This page is for plastic modelers and for others who like to look at the many different ways each nation camouflaged their aircraft. The Messerschmitt was my favorite when I was a kid and I still love it now. I just wish I had the time to paint more of the fighter.

The paint scheme above is a clean. At first the Messerschmitts were painted like this but they added the mottled paint on the sides to diffuse the light blue.

The Messerschmitt above is colorful. I would love to be commissioned to paint a fighter like this for a client. I would love to make a print from the painting. Having a print made from a painting helps the value of the original painting investment. Some of the Luftwaffe Squadrons deserve to be honored. Profile by another artist. I love the tight mottled application on the fuselage.

Adolf Galland, JG26

I got the black-and-white above a long time ago. Adolf Galland. Yellow Cowling and Rudder.

Another clean design. The top greens ending in the gray sides along with a wondering light blue on the bottom of the fighter.

Love the yellow.

Barr flew this Messerschmitt.

Here the artist does a great job of showing how the ground crew at the base this fighter was stationed at did not completely cover over the numbers and letters assigned to the fighter at the factory. Forward of the cockpit there is a number "5."

I will add more here in the future.
